SAHASH working in removing illiteracy at grassroots level started a computer literacy mission in Kurushetra.In Kurushetra a group discussion is going in villages and our volunteer guides the farmers about pattern of farming and cultivating crops .Women counseling is also a part of our volunteer and give training to women for their empowerment.

In AMETHI a large campaign on health awareness is done by our volunteer and campaign to stand up against poverty decided to be held on 17-19 OCT in both AMETHI and KURUSHETRA to acheive a United Nations millennium compaign goals.

Society for Animal, Health, Agriculture, and Science & Humanity (SAHASH) is an Indian NGO dealing with issues of child protection & education, Gender basis girl child education, woman education empowering social evil against women, Human rights, Humanity, Rural development and science & Technology progress. It has offices in Delhi, U.P, Haryana.

Society for Animal Health Agriculture Science and Humanity (SAHASH) is a global network of not-for-profit organizations with a mission think, promise and work together with in India to achieve a lasting improvement in the quality of living hood. How to Work

Most of our activities are carried out in partnership with community based organizations, NGOs. We also work closely with academic institution, universities, local & national governments and international agencies public private industries.

Children Rights

SAHASH work for children who are living in rural and urban sector who belong to a family living under poverty line and also who is orphan .SAHASH protect against exploitation and working for children who are bandhak and give education to them after get rid from bandhak or hand over to the families from where they belong. We investigate the companies who taking a work from children below 14 yrs and free the children with the help of police.

SAHASH also educate the children having disabilities and promote them to self dependent by giving training courses for self-employment

Human Rights

Human rights are internationals names that help to protect all people every where from severe political, legal and social above. Rights are addressed primarily to governments, requiring compliance and enforcement the strong claims made on behalf of human rights. These human right are- security rights, due, process rights, liberty rights, political rights, equality rights, welfare rights, group rights.

SAHASH provide assistance on Human rights specially belonging to SC/ST, women’s, children, disabled persons, widows & people living below poverty line.

Humanity

Humanity refers to the human race or mankind as a whole to that which a characteristically human or to that which distinguishes human beings from animals or from their animal nature. Humans are by nature social. Humans create complex-social structures composed of co-operating and competing groups ranging in scale from nations to individual families and social interaction between humans has established a variety of social norms, rituals, traditions, values, laws and ethics which from the bas is of human society.

SAHASH work for rehabilitation &-promote self employment to the people living below poverty line, women’s, youths, old care and work for their protection with the support of national women’s commission, HRD ministry, social welfare ministry of Govt., international agencies and NGOs.

Currently SAHASH setting up the free legal advice center, counseling center in U.P. Haryana, Delhi.

Rural Development

SAHASH is engaged in a rapidly developing initiative to establish agenda for land reform in India. SAHASH seeing Indian policy makers and international donors taking an increased interest in land issues. SAHASH focus to provide land access and improved land rights to the rural poor, women and other marginalized groups.

Rural land problems in India have not gone unnoticed. In the decades following Independence many Indian states passed land reform laws aimed at broadening. Access to rural land. But these efforts-except for a few a notable successes were poorly designed and implemented. Land lord taken their cases in courts and use the lands while poor were suffering with landless.

SAHASH work with partners including key Government actors, selected research Institutions and NGO’S to study,develop,communicate and help implement feasible legislative policy and administrative reforms SAHASH is active in giving suggestions and information about the correct people to whom the land is required and he is a landless to the Government administrative officers in U.P. SAHASH also promise to provide meaningful land rights to the rural poor, women and other marginalized groups. SAHASH has partnered with the University of Agricultural Sciences as a project to provide agricultural extension services to families with small kitchen gardens to help them use their land most efficiently to improve their nutrition and income. SAHASH also work in the development of civic amenities including toilet development, street development and whole village development programmed with state rural development agencies/ZilaParishads/ / Central Govt.

Health Care

Today in India 90% people are suffering from any of the disease such as 3 core 50 lakh people are suffering from Diabetes-I & Diabetes-II due to unbalanced diet, women’s suffering from breast cancer due to not feeding her breast to child. Similarly other unawareness of symptoms of diseases, careless about their health & illiteracy is measure cause of spreading the communicable disease such as leprosy, AIDS, HIV, cancer polio, Blindness, Dengue, Chicken Genia etc.


So SAHASH has taken up a strong steps to campaign the symptoms, sources and has to get rid of them naturally if it is possible and also help to the people who suffering from the diseased. SAHASH provide free medical counsellings center and promote to utilize mostly nature cure pathology, Yoga not to take drugs.

SAHASH launches in reference of the above a project known as HAPPY (Health Awareness Promotion pro gramme through Youth).

Women’s Empowerment

The need of time is to improve the rural livelihoods, towards this end. SAHASH has forged empowering rural women as effective development workers. SAHASH constituted micro credit groups and trained them to generate employment opportunities. These help in increasing income for better nutrition, health, care and education for their children.

SAHASH trained the women’s girls of SC/ST/OBC and living below poverty line through mahila training and counseling center in the field of knitting ,tailoring,flowering,crafting ,painting , claying, computer,typing,soft-toys candle making , agarbatti making paper crafting, cartooning, chalk and mosquitoes strips.

Currently running mahila training & counseling center in Kurushetra (Haryana), barely and Amethi (U.P).

Environment Energy Conservation

In India power energy is the main source for development many of industries utilizing electricity, petroleum fuel but at certain period of time it can be extinct. Therefore an alternative utilization & research is going on for providing the energy.

SAHASH promoting the masses to conserve electricity and minimum use of petroleum products we promoting for cultivation of bio-fuel plant such as sanitaria (Redingote) in the wasteland. Different awareness programmed for utilizing minimum energy & energy conservation is going on. We promote the use of CFL lamps & solar equipments. For pollution control use of CNG fuel, compliance of PUC for automobile promoting use of flash, use jute bags instead of plastic bags, conservation of kitchen waste to compost through vermiculture.

Water Conservation

Without water life is not possible so it can not be waste, in human society. Water conservation is essential. Due to water some dry and despairing facts stare India in the face. The present average soil loss in the country is all-out 16.35 %per hectare per year. Nearly 67% of the cultivated area in the country faces severe moisture stress of 15 to 8 months a year. Crop production is very low in dry lands.

SAHASH with panchayats/other NGO likely to constitutes a water user groups and train them to plan and build water harvesting structures like contour bounds, percolation tanks and farm ponds to achieve water conservation and soil enrichment.

Forest Conservation

Nature is necessity, wilderness is freedom and parks are fountains of life. The environment is always a source of solace, inspiration & delight.

Forest is necessary for our life. Due to continuous deforestation increase of Green house gases which causes melting of polar ice and problem of polar bears occurs. Over the past 150 years deforestation has contributed and estimated 30 per cent of the atmospheric build up of CO2. It is also a significant driving force behind the loss of genes, species and critical ecosystem services green house gases are emitted by virtually all economic sectors including residential and commercial energy use, industrial processes, electricity, generation, agriculture and forestry carbon dioxide emissions from coal combustion in developing countries of Asia is expect to grow by a whooping 157% from 1990 level by 2015. Total 55% national emissions of CO2 come from energy sector & 34% from agriculture sector.

Wild life/ Species Conservation

Wild life is a symbol of heritage of India. Many species nearly come to an extinct. So measure steps are being taken by Govt. and internationally/National NGOs and agencies to conserve these species like wild buffalo, Indian tiger, Asian elephant, swamp deer. The Rhino became a symbol of conservation in airing national park for host of endangered species and wide variety of bio diversity in Assam. Rhino are in north Bengal & Nepal SAHASH establish relations with other NGOs to conserve the wild life.


Awareness Steps taken by SAHASH

1. Strategy attempts to conserve the existing of carbon storage capacity of forests by halting/slowing draw forests deforestation.

2. Forestation of non forest lands and agro forestry on crop and pasture land.

3. Attempts taken for replacement of fossil fuels by renewable fuel wood or other biomass products.

4. Replacing open pit method of manure treatment with small scale digester.

5. Using improved paddy varieties and draining fields frequently and encouraging cultivation of rice varieties that emit less CH4 per unit of output.

6. Improve application efficiency of nitrogenous fertilizers.

7. We promote plantation of neem, bamboo, bio fuel plant, medicated plants.

Agricultural Development

Agriculture in the main source of income for the major section of society, providing employment to no. of people & increasing the economy of India. Even today about 65% of the Indian population directly or indirectly lives on Agriculture. Agriculture has also shaped the literature, creed and culture of the Indian society. After independence almost emphasis was laid on agriculture in the consecutive five year plans. As a result India achieved green revolution and self sufficiency in food production. Today we can not only feed a billion people but also have enough potential to cope up with the future challenges.


Agriculture depends on a six factors-soil, water, climate, seed, tools and peasants. SAHASH works on agriculture and awakening farmers to use scientific technologies for production of crops by good seeds, manure fertilizers. We also trained the farmers for fisheries warm compost, animal husbandry, dairies, irrigation pattern. We establish and promote nurseries, oily crops, crude oil crop and establish nodal center for marketing & training. We promote farmers to check-test soil of their cultivated land, so that they were able to know that deficiency of elements in the land & tell to utilize a bio-fertilizers, manure, warm compost, rizobium fertilizers.

Currently running Kishaan counseling centers in Amethi, Jalawn(U.P.).

Projects:

Project name-READ (Rural Education on Agriculture Development)

Objective - To educate the farmers about new hybrids crops as well as how to cultivate these crops.

Coverage area - Amethi, Barely, Jalaun.

Target - To run in at least 19 districts.

Activities - Volunteers go in rural villages and educate them about the hybrid crops through which they can earn high profit and also to aware them about the brand of seeds, industries which are engaged in agriculture. Society establishes relation with industries and provides the hybrid seeds, fertilizers to farmers directly, so that the farmers benefited more. We also aware the farmers to cultivate the economical plant such as biofuel, medicated plants and they can take these plants to our nodal centers of society.

Desirable output - Regular meetings (monthly) of farmers at the center where they give their feedback. Farmers now cultivating flowers, medicated plants, planting neem and bamboo trees, biofuel plants etc. Which raise their income and living status? Society volunteers take open door discussion and take their feed back, responses to improve the agriculture condition.

Drawback - Due to unavailability of soil test at village level through mobile van. So we achieve least productivity of crop and not able to complete the productivity target.

PROJECT -2

Project name - KHEL- KHEL ME PADAI

Objective - To educate the children of age 02-05 years through toys, models, charts and also developed their cultural re4lationships in the society and motivate all of the children to come and take education in our center.

Activities - We educate the children of 02-05 years. We go to the guardian’s house to report the progress of this child. Continuous meeting organized with guardian. To meet with govt. /Private school teachers and provide a facility 9of the children who crossed the age of 05 years in reference of education, To organize monthly staff meeting for checking the progress of this project.

Target - To open centers in 100 villages in a district.

Area coverage - Presently centers running in Amethi , Barielly.

Output - 1 Personality development increased in children. Child s are educating in comparison to other school/centers. Decrease in illiteracy. Motivation towards education occurs in villagers. Children’s are motivated towards education due to use of toys. Guardian pay regards to our organization for our mission of society.
